It’s true…you meet people for a reason. Nearly 20 years ago, our story began. At that time, neither of us could have predicted that we would be business partners. In fact, we were on opposite sides of the fence: One of us part of the management team at a community bank and the other regulating that institution. Once each exam ended, we went our separate ways…until one day our paths crossed again. This time, we were on the same team, working for the same cause: to partner with our clients to build and maintain strong, practical and effective compliance risk management programs and help them navigate the constant onslaught of regulatory demands and changes. We talked and collaborated daily over several years and forged a strong bond of trust, shared vision and perseverance for something bigger than even we could imagine. After careful consideration we realized the time was right for us to chart our own course.
We formed Sterling Compliance with that piece of certainty in our minds. The strength behind our name and that which defines our culture comes from decades of experience, as former bankers, regulators and independent consultants. That experience allows us to bring a balanced perspective to our clients for practical approaches to regulatory compliance with battle-tested, effective results.
